PACE 598 Timeline

First Summer		Completion of first research course. Initial draft of problem statement, introduction, literature review, methods, and references.
Second Summer	Completion of research course. Completed draft of problem statement, introduction, literature review, methods, and references. Approved IRB.	Completion of second research course. Completed draft of problem statement, introduction, literature review, methods, and references. Approved IRB.
Second Fall Placement
Last Friday in January	Project data collection is complete.
Last Friday in February	A complete draft of the final paper is submitted—5 chapters and references.
Last Friday in March	A final paper is submitted.
Second Friday in April	Presentation to faculty and a program reflective exit paper is completed.

Normally for MEd candidates data collection is completed in the second fall placement. If you wish to accelerate this schedule you must have the approval of your 598 instructor.
If first full drafts are submitted after the Last Friday in February, the final paper will be graded down by one full grade.
If a final paper is submitted after the Last Friday in March, it will be graded down by one full grade.
Faculty presentation requires completion of a Documentation of Presentation form.
